For Love of the Savior

“What ultimately keeps our motives biblically prioritized and holy before God is the profound conviction that obeying God will merit us nothing. This is why Jesus tells us that, when we have done all that we should do, we are still unprofitable servants. Jesus does not nullify the value of duty in order to dissuade us from serving God, but to keep is from depending on duty to gain God’s acceptance. When we understand that our works in themselves earn us no merit with God, then the only reason to do those works is love for Him. Thus we learn to serve God not for personal gain but for His glory – not for love of self but for love of the Savior.”

  1. Love for God and for people ! In Love for a Savior because He first Loved us…also doesn’t true graditude for what God has done for us play in here as a motive for our actions?

But yes I understand what Bryan is saying. Seems I recall a similar post where we spoke about merit. I think i’d rather obey Gods Word even if my motives are suspect and ask God to help my unbelieving heart. & Hope God in his Grace see’s my efforts as flawed as they may be, a reaction out of a Love for Him and expressed as love for others as well…..

“There is nothing we know how to provide to someone.”

This is why Jesus tells us that, when we have done all that we should do, we are still unprofitable servants.

“There is something happening that is not allowed to be understandable this way.”

Jesus does not nullify the value of duty in order to dissuade us from serving God, but to keep us from depending on duty to gain God’s acceptance.

“There is nothing you can understand to be doing in this area and you are to use yourself to understand God’s current interest to completion. What is it about slavery that God is causing you to come together around within what is whole truth?”

When we understand that our works in themselves earn us no merit with God, then the only reason to do those works is love for Him.

“You appreciate God as always when you are united with your continuable activity life. God causes you to love what God is doing and to experience love for the life God provides to you complete. To understand that you love God is to be understanding God as human. God is not human even while God can cause “Himself” to go around with and as a human (“I Am God”) when that human being existence is not aware to integrations with internal thought (human being information that is not continuable within unity).”

Thus we learn to serve God not for personal gain but for His glory – not for love of self but for love of the Savior.”

We are doing what we know how to do when God is causing change in the environment and doing what we love to do when God is causing activity and communication that is saying about what is interesting now known about complete. To believe that God needs service is to be preoccupied with humans and that is not allowed to be had within a compatible relationship with you as you are known by both Jesus and God. To love Jesus is to see Him and God can provide that.
