How can one cultivate genuine inner peace? Thomas a Kempis suggests embracing the following four attitudes and practices:
- Seek to do the will of others rather than your own. (Matthew 26.39; John 5.30; John 6.38)
- Always choose to have less rather than more. (1 Corinthians 10.24)
- Always seek the lowest place and consider others better than yourself. (Luke 14.10; Philippians 2.3)
- Always wish and pray that the will of God be completely fulfilled in you. (Matthew 6.10)
Such a person will enter into the realm of peace and rest.
Gods Words says ” great peace have they that Love thy Law and nothing shall offend them ” ….
I think what gives us peace is not four or five bullet points althought they are good ones.
What gives us peace is our living out what God tells us too. A perspective of living out of the Word of God.
