Lord, teach me to be generous. Teach me to serve you as you deserve; to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and not to ask for reward, save that of knowing that I do your will.

It is so interesting that you chose generosity for a topic to post. About 2 weeks ago I heard a sermon on this subject, and it hit me pretty hard. He covered generosity in every area, even if it means going a few steps out of your way to make some ones day. Since then, Ive not only been trying to be generous but I have been noticing generosity more than ever. The reason I’m posting is because I actually just experienced this…Im feeling under the weather and one of the girls on the leadership team on my hall just came over and brought me chicken noodle soup and gatorade. Those items may not seem like much, but they really made a difference.
And just last week, a girl in a prayer group I lead bought me a 15$ gift for no reason other than because she wanted to.
The list goes on and on….but Im glad you posted this, its a great reminder of what we as Christians are called to do in serving Him (through serving others).
