When I Look at the Cross

“When I look at the cross, I learn to say: ‘The Son of God loved me, and gave Himself for me’ (Galatians 2:20). I begin to believe with Paul that if God did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up to the cross for me, then He loves me so much He will always give me only what will bring me blessing (Romans 8:32).”

  1. Depends upon what you mean by Blessing. Rom 8:32 says He that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things.
In one way all that God brings is Blessing as it comes from God. But sometimes it sure doesn’t feel like it. And I know it rains on the just and unjust and I then conclude it’s all Blessing ! No matter if it feels good or not, if it’s hard times or good, even if it hurts, as I then have to admit, God has my best interest in mind always. Even when it doesn’t seem like it. Gen 50:20……… Thats a tough one to live out. Always thought Blessing ment good things, can Blessing be a good thing in advers circumstance? I know the answer, yes…But that doesn’t mean it’s easy to consider all blessing somtimes. (Just thinking out loud here)
